An old Mercury Comet!

Love it!

But then it's a classic Mercury how could I not?

Yeah, convertible or not, that car is brilliant. I am an absolute sucker for most of the early to mid 60's cars. I don't really like most convertibles, but for some reason, the early 60s ones don't really bother me (I still would prefer a hardtop, but wouldn't at all mind a convertible).

I can't wait until I can afford to buy an old car again. Once I am able to get one, I have a sneaking suspicion that it will creep its way into being my DD. I just can't imagine having a car like that and NOT wanting to drive it everywhere.

I'm tempted by the unreasonable urge to put Comet-esque tailfins on the Ranchero. Probably won't, but still... the urge. Doesn't help that the Comet was a sister car to the Falcon and making a full or partial cometchero would be very easy.
